Don't wait - join our team!

We are looking for non-profit, public sector and community organizations who are interested in joining our team, by providing our participants with paid local employment. These summer jobs are subsidized as part of our Program and provide an opportunity for employers to meet their needs by creating positions they otherwise could not. Employers, who accept funding from the program, also accept certain responsibilities, not only to the program, but more importantly, to the student they agree to hire.

General Terms

Employers, who participate, agree to sign a funding agreement and provide a participant in the Summer Work Student Exchange Program an experience with the following conditions:

  • Provide the hired student with the work described in the job description attached to the funding application.
  • Provide a complete job description for each available job that is being applied for.
  • Provide a copy of the organization's insurance certificate of general liability coverage to the YMCA.
  • Provide a safe job that is appropriate for a 16 or 17 year old conducive to improving their second-language skills.
  • On the first day of work, go over the job description with the participant and provide all necessary safety training.
  • Maintain regular communication with their assigned YMCA Local Coordinator.

If you have any further questions or would like more information please contact the Regional Coordinator in your area. If you are interested in joining our team as an employment partner this coming summer, please apply now!
